Hosted by the Volleyball Management Center of General Administration of Sports of China, and Dalian Municipal Sports Bureau, the 2017 Volleyball Elite League (Dalian Division) will be held in Damai Center (Dalian Sports Center-Stadium) from September 1 to September 3.

       This event is the official competition event authorized by the General Administration of Sports of China. The top four teams will represent Dalian Division to compete in the national finale. Seen from the current registration situation, there will be around 15 high-level amateur volleyball teams from Beijing, Shandong, Heilongjiang, Dalian, Fushun, Panjin, etc., to compete in the 2017 Volleyball Elite League (Dalian Division), including a total number of approximately 260 players from enterprises and public institutions, institutions of higher learning, social amateur clubs and other organizations.

       2017 Volleyball Elite League (Dalian Division) will adopt the best of three games, with the first two sets being 25 scores and the deciding set being 15 scores. It will implement the Rules of Volleyball Competition approved by Chinese Volleyball Association. This event will adopt the system of grouped single round and crossover matches to decide the places in the competition. Since it is a mass event, some special rules will be set up for this Volleyball Elite League, i.e. there are a mixed of 6 female and male players in a match, and there should be at least one female or male player on the volleyball court; there is no limit on the number of substitutions; the net height is 2.30m, which is in between the height of competion of men and women. With  these rules, more volleyball fans will show their skills on the court.

       This event is the mass volleyball event of the highest level and greatest social influence undertaken in Dalian in recent years, which is the first volleyball event to be first held by Dalian Sports Center. It will build a excellent platform for volleyball fans and become a public volleyball feast with amateur volley elites from all parts of China participating in. Drawing on the driving force of the 13th National Games of China, this event will promote the amateur volleyball communication in different places, and definitely push forward the development of mass volleyball.
